About the Project
The Office of Inspector General National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak) sought to migrate its website from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8 to enhance performance, security, and usability. There was a need for a modernized platform that would support better user experience and access to vital reports and audits. The updated website aimed to improve accessibility for stakeholders, including Congress, Amtrak’s leadership, and the public. Also, it was crucial to ensure seamless navigation and reliable access to critical oversight information. Additionally, the migration provided an opportunity to integrate new features.
The platform had to meet modern usability standards, for the users to access reports, audits, and critical information efficiently. Migrating to Drupal 8 presented an opportunity to address these challenges.
